The East Coast Trip is an amazing experience that brings the 8th Grade History class to life.
As students read about the Declaration of Independence and the start of our government they have the opportunity to experience these places first hand. Visit the church where the 'one if by land, two if by sea' lantern was hung; visit Independence Hall where our Declaration of Independence was signed and Continental Congress took place; visit the World Trade Center Memorial; visit Mount Vernon (the home of George Washington) and visit all of them with experienced and trained tour guides. But it's not all history... we visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, have free time in Times Square, and see a Broadway show. This trip is a once in a lifetime experience that will change the way you look at history. |
